Stephen Bergquist MD CWSP serves as the Medical Director at the Wound Management Center since 2008, focusing on delivering high-quality care to patients and ensuring that medical providers uphold the same standards. In addition to clinical responsibilities, Stephen is the Biological Wound Matrices Section Editor and Multimedia Dept. Editor for the "Wounds" journal since 2011, contributing to clinical research and practice in wound management. With over 30 years of experience as a medical consultant and guest speaker, Stephen has collaborated with various institutions, including Advanced Biohealing and several universities. Previous roles include Emergency Department Medical Director at Jackson Purchase Medical Center and Emergency Room Physician at Murray - Calloway County Hospital, complemented by military service as a Chief Warrant Officer and helicopter pilot in the US Army. Stephen's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from American University of the Caribbean and an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
