Monica Daries

Accounts Payable/accounts Receivable Manager at The Iconic

Monica Daries has extensive work experience in the field of accounts payable. Monica started their career at Ramsay Health Care - Macarthur Private Hospital in 1994, where they held the role of Senior Accounts Payable/ Payroll/ Executive Secretary for four years. Monica then worked at RAIL GOURMET U.K. LIMITED as a Senior Accounts Payable for a year before joining Ramsay Health Care - Macarthur Private Hospital again as a Senior Accounts Payable. After that, they worked at RetireInvest as a Senior Accounts Payable for a year.

In 2001, Monica joined Goodman as a Manager, Accounts Payable where they played a significant role in establishing and running the Accounts Payable function. During their time there, they built a full-function AP team and implemented the Finance module of Yardi. Monica served at Goodman for nearly nine years.

In 2010, Monica worked at HotelClub (an Orbitz Worldwide company) as a Manager, Accounts Payable for a few months, where they rebuilt the team and successfully implemented a new expense management system. Later that year, they joined Norton Rose Australia as a Manager, Accounts Payable. In this role, they managed the Accounts Payable team and achieved significant savings by outsourcing the function and changing company-paid Amex cards to individual-paid Diners cards. In addition, they played a crucial role in planning and implementing the global implementation of SAP.

Most recently, Monica has been working at THE ICONIC since December 2018 as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Manager. In this role, they oversee various operations related to accounts payable and accounts receivable, manages a finance team of 10, and works closely with multiple departments across the organization. Monica also contributes to system implementations and improvements, develops relationships with stakeholders, and provides analysis and reporting to the wider business.

Monica Daries completed their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Kai Yoga in 2019. Prior to that, they attended the NSW School of Massage from 2005 to 2007, where they earned a Certificate IV in Massage (HLT40307). During their time at the school, they studied various massage techniques including Swedish, Remedial, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy, Sports Massage, as well as Anatomy & Physiology. In 1991 and 1992, Monica obtained a Diploma in Tourism and Travel (F&T II) from the Australian Careers Business College.
