Michael Gurin has been involved in the technology industry since 1988. Michael began their career as the CEO and CTO of CogniTek, QueView, and Innovation Fusion, where their responsibilities centered around developing and identifying technologies that enable cost effective, sustainable communities. In 2013, they became the CEO of HygraTek, a company that develops liquid separation solutions and coating technology. In 2015, they founded MG Fuels, a company that challenges prior assumptions and looks at technology and scaling differently. In 2019, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Renovare. In 2020, they became the Chief Strategy Officer of The Hurd Co. Michael also founded QueView in 2010, a company that leverages location-based technology to create context within a wide range of industries. In 2014, they founded Q Fresh, a company that uses CogniTek energy management solutions, MG Fuels biomass pre-processing, and HygraTek coatings and membranes to create advance food growing systems. Michael was also a Founding Director of NanoFluence in 2010, and the Founder and CEO of ReXorce - Echogen Power Systems in 2007.
Michael Gurin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering (BSAE) from the University of Michigan between 1982 and 1986. Michael then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business between 1986 and 1988, with a focus in Aerospace Engineering and Business Administration.
