Riley Walters is a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, focusing on expanding economic ties and promoting scientific collaboration between the United States and Japan since January 2021. As a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Global Taiwan Institute since November 2020, and previously serving as a Senior Policy Analyst and Economist at The Heritage Foundation from February 2013 to December 2020, Riley has expertise in the Asian economy and technology, economic trends in Asia, and U.S.-Japan relations. Riley began the career as a Research Associate in cybersecurity and as a Japan Research Assistant, specializing in trade and politics. Education includes a Master of Arts in Economics from George Mason University (2015-2017) and a bilateral exchange program at Sophia University (2009-2010).
