Mike Doran is a distinguished expert in Near and Middle Eastern studies, currently serving as a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute since 2014. Previous roles include Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, Visiting Professor at New York University, and Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs at the State Department. Additionally, Mike Doran held the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense at the United States Department of Defense and served as Senior Director for the Near East and North Africa on the National Security Council. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from Princeton University and a Bachelor's Degree in History from Stanford University.
