Craig Garratt has an extensive work experience in the field of sound engineering and technical theatre. Craig has worked in various roles in different companies, starting with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1995 as a Technician until 2000. Craig then joined the Royal & Derngate Theatres as a Deputy Chief Electrician from 2002 to 2004. Following that, they worked as a Live Sound Engineer at Bill Kenwright Ltd from 2004 to 2005 and at Flying Music Company from 2005 to 2007. Craig returned to Bill Kenwright Ltd as a Live Sound Engineer from 2007 to 2009. Subsequently, they worked as a Live Sound Engineer at Flying Music Company from 2009 to 2010. Craig then joined the Royal Shakespeare Company again as a Senior Sound Technician from 2010 to 2011. From 2012, they have been associated with The Hippodrome Casino, initially as Deputy Head of Sound, then as the Technical Manager, and currently as the Director of Technical Theatre.
Craig Garratt attended Stratford upon Avon College from 1994 to 1996, where they obtained a Btec National Diploma in Performing Arts Technical. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a Dante Certification Level 1 from Audinate in July 2018.
