Melisa Mercado is an experienced healthcare professional with a focus on nursing and critical care. Currently serving as a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano since November 2020, Melisa previously worked as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Care Unit at Texas Health Resources from May 2016 to November 2020. Additional roles include experience as a Patient Care Technician and in customer service positions at Wells Fargo, as well as sales and event coordination at Ashton Gardens and M&M The Special Events Company. Melisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate Degree in Nursing from North Central Texas College. Currently, Melisa is pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Science at Texas Woman's University.
