Waseem Munir CQP (MCQI), RN has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. In their most recent position as Head of Clinical Governance & Quality at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, they are responsible for overseeing the clinical governance and quality procedures. Prior to this, they held the role of Q Community Member at The Health Foundation, where they connected with improvement experts across the UK. Waseem also served as an Improvement Fellow at Improvement Academy, focusing on improvement strategies in healthcare. Waseem Munir has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, including roles such as Acting Head of Improvement and Senior Improvement Lead at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. Waseem worked as a Quality Consultant at Insonova Health & Care Consulting, providing consultation on service improvement and quality enhancement in healthcare organizations. Additionally, they served as an Improvement Lead at Advancing Quality Alliance (AQuA), leading national programs for the region in collaboration with other improvement bodies. Waseem'scareer started as a Quality Specialist at King Fahad Medical City, where they developed and implemented incident and risk management programs, standardized care processes, and achieved hospital accreditation. Waseem also worked as a Project Manager at South London Healthcare NHS Trust, leading a quality improvement project. Prior to that, they gained clinical experience as an Emergency Staff Nurse at SLH NHS Trust: Queen Elizabeth Hospital and as a Nursing Pre-Reg at Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

Waseem Munir CQP (MCQI), RN has a diverse education history. Waseem began their academic journey by obtaining their GCSE from Manvers Pierrepont High School in Nottingham in 1995. Waseem then pursued their A-Levels at High Pavement Sixth Form College in Nottingham from 1995 to 1998.

In 2005, Waseem enrolled at King's College, University of London, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Nursing Studies in 2008. Showing a dedication to continuous learning, they later pursued a Master of Science degree in Total Quality Management & Organizational Excellence at Sheffield Hallam University from 2011 to 2013.

To complement their educational qualifications, Waseem has obtained several certifications. In 2010, they completed the Thought Leadership Development Programme from King's College London. Waseem'sdedication to risk management is evident through certifications such as the M_o_R: Management of Risk Foundation and M_o_R: Management of Risk Practitioner, obtained from APMG in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Waseem further expanded their knowledge of risk management by becoming a Registered Risk Practitioner through Alarm UK in 2013. Additionally, they achieved certification as a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Anexas in 2013 and as a Chartered Quality Professional from The Chartered Quality Institute in 2014. Finally, in 2016, they obtained the International Certificate in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management.
