MaryCate MacLennan

MaryCate MacLennan has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. MaryCate started their career as a Forensic Psychiatric Nursing Assistant at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in 1993. MaryCate then worked at Centrepoint as a Deputy Manager, Resettlement Worker, and Project Worker from 1995 to 1999.

From 1999 to 2005, MaryCate worked as a Practice Coordinator at Central North West London. MaryCate then joined NHS Camden, where they had various roles, including Health Inequalities Policy Officer, Local Area Agreement Contract Manager, and World Class Commissioning.

In 2009, MaryCate became the Homeless Health Service Development Manager at Westminster Primary Care Trust. MaryCate was responsible for developing and managing homeless health services and gained funding for a peer-led health support service.

From 2011 to 2013, MaryCate worked at St. George's University of London as an R&D Quality & Assurance Manager. MaryCate provided operational support to the Clinical Research Facility and assisted in research bid writing and protocol feasibility.

MaryCate then moved to St Georges Healthcare NHS Trust, where they worked as an R&D Performance & Delivery Manager from 2013 to 2017.

In 2017, MaryCate joined Barts Health NHS Trust as a Senior Improvement Manager. MaryCate was responsible for implementing quality improvement methodology, supporting staff-led/cultural change, and unblocking barriers to collaboration.

MaryCate MacLennan is currently a member of the Q Community at The Health Foundation, starting in 2017.

MaryCate MacLennan completed their Masters degree in Voluntary Sector Organisation from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2004 to 2006. MaryCate then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Commissioning & Strategic Management from Bournemoth University starting in 2010. In 2017, they completed an NIHR Improvement Fellowship in Quality Improvement from Imperial College London. MaryCate MacLennan also holds a degree in Psychology from Goldsmiths, University of London, which they obtained from 1990 to 1993.
