Claude Amar has over 25 years of work experience, starting in 1992 with IH Group, where they served as President and CEO until 2008. Claude then went on to become the Managing Director at The John Hardy Group International in 2002. In 2006, they became the President of Institut Français de Certification des Médiateurs. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Partner at Mediation & Resolution, a role they have held since 2015.

Claude Amar attended Harvard Law School from 2006 to 2008, where they studied in the Program on Negotiation. Prior to that, from 1974 to 1980, they pursued a PhD in Architecture at Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts. In 1996, Claude enrolled in INSEAD to study Finance, but the end year of their studies is not provided. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in mediation. In 2007, they became a Certified Mediator through the IMI - International Mediation Institute. In 2009, they obtained the certification of "Médiateur Certifié" from the Institut Français de Certification des Médiateurs. Lastly, in 2010, Claude acquired the certification of Certified Mediator from the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI).
