Catherine Olsen is an accomplished documentary producer and consultant with extensive experience in the international documentary marketplace. Currently serving as a board member for The Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society and as an international documentary consultant for Passionate 4 Docs, Catherine has a rich history as the Executive Producer of CBC News Network's acclaimed series "The Passionate Eye," where for over 20 years, catherine developed it into a leading documentary brand in North America. Catherine has also held key roles at Docs Barcelona and Hot Docs, providing guidance in production training and pitching forums. With a background in producing and on-air journalism at organizations like CBC and TV Ontario, Catherine has shaped numerous documentary projects and initiatives aimed at fostering emerging Canadian filmmakers. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies from Simon Fraser University.
