Mark Hepworth is a seasoned professional in economic development and social impact, currently serving as Co-Founder, Director of Research and Policy, and Place-Based Impact Investing Lead at The Good Economy since April 2015. Previously, Mark founded and led Geoeconomics, an economic development consultancy, from 2007 to 2015, providing research and strategic services across various sectors. As a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Applied Economic Geography at Birkbeck, University of London, and the Founding Director of the Local Futures Group, Mark has contributed to significant government policies and corporate strategies. Mark's earlier roles include Principal Consultant at WPP and advisory positions for various government and international organizations. Mark holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Toronto, as well as an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning and Development, a BA in Economics from the University of Warwick, and a Post-Graduate Planning degree from the University of Westminster.
