Corey Howell has a diverse work experience history with roles in various industries. Starting in 2010, Corey worked as a Finance Intern for Texans For Kay Bailey Hutchison. In 2012, Corey served as the Regional Political Director/Regional Manager for Romney for President, Inc./NC Victory. From 2010 to 2014, Corey held positions as Policy Director and Committee Director for the House Committee on Culture, Recreation, and Tourism at the Texas House of Representatives. In 2014, Corey worked as a Legislative Associate at EY for a brief period. From 2015 to 2016, Corey served as a Legislative Consultant for Corey G. Howell Government Affairs. Since 2016, Corey has been with The GMS Group, starting as an Associate and progressing to Vice President and currently serving as the Senior Vice President in Public Finance Investment Banking.
Corey Howell has an extensive education history. In 2016, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Public Finance from the Texas McCombs School of Business. During the same period, they also obtained a Master of Public Affairs specializing in Public Policy Analysis from The LBJ School of Public Affairs.
Prior to their graduate studies, Corey Howell earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in American Government and Politics (United States) from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010.
In addition to their formal education, Corey Howell has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they acquired the Series 50 certification from the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, the Series 63 certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the Series 7 certification, also from FINRA.
