Mithru V. has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Mithru is currently working as the Director of Products at QReal, where they oversee product development. Prior to this role, Mithru worked as the AR VR Product Manager at QReal, responsible for managing the virtual and augmented reality products. Mithru also worked as a Product Manager at The Glimpse Group and Kabaq 3D Technologies, both of which are involved in the development of virtual and augmented reality technologies.
Before their roles in the virtual and augmented reality space, Mithru gained experience as a Hardware Engineer at Boks, where they focused on hardware development. Mithru also worked as a Prototype Engineer at Aduri, where they built hardware prototypes and collaborated with manufacturing partners.
Mithru has also been involved in research and educational roles. Mithru worked as a Research Fellow at New York University, focusing on Human Computer Interaction and assistive technologies. Mithru also held a position as a resident at NYU's Ability Project. Additionally, Mithru served as the Head of Partnerships at InnoVention Society, where they cultivated relationships with sponsors and partners. Mithru also worked at the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute as a Prototype Lab Guardian, providing support and guidance to students and faculty on prototyping tools and techniques.
Earlier in their career, Mithru co-founded Myx Reality, a pre-production software company for Virtual Reality content. The company participated in accelerator programs and received funding. Mithru also participated in NYC Media Lab's Combine Program as a Protégé, where they honed their skills in lean startup methodology and networked with VR industry leaders.
Mithru V. completed a Master's degree at New York University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, Mithru obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Interactive Media Art from LASALLE College of the Arts between 2010 and 2013. During the same period, Mithru also acquired a Diploma in Interactive Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts. Additionally, Mithru received several certifications from Coursera in 2016, including Web Application Development with JavaScript and MongoDB, Introduction to Meteor.js Development, Responsive Web Design, and Responsive Website Basics: Code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
