Buffy Schilling currently serves as a Docent/Ambassador at the Smithsonian National American History Museum since November 2018 and has been an Instructor for ACLS and BLS at GW Medical Faculty Associates since May 2009. Additionally, Buffy has taught at Fauquier Fire and Rescue since September 2013 and worked as a Technical Writer/Editor for NVERS from 2016 until May 2024. Retired from a career as a Firefighter/Paramedic at MWAA, where Buffy was employed from August 2008 to May 2024, contributions include writing health, wellness, and fitness articles for Firefightertoolbox.com between August 2013 and August 2014. Buffy holds a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University (April 2020 - September 2023) and multiple Bachelor’s degrees in History and Liberal Arts from the University of Mary Washington (August 1998 - April 2018).
