Dr Parisa Glass is the Director of Innovation and Enterprise for The George Institute for Global Health. In this role, she leads all entrepreneurship, tech transfer and commercialisation activity which is designed to increase number of profit-with-purpose businesses at The George Institute for Global Health.
She also manages the Genovate program, which was built to drive the creation of an innovation hub in global health that will provide support and guidance for researchers and emerging entrepreneurs who are developing affordable and commercialisable healthcare solutions to global unmet health needs.
In 2020, Dr Glass became the inaugural recipient of the Michael Hawker Fellowship in Social Enterprise. This award recognised her significant contribution to The Institute’s pursuit of entrepreneurship in the health sector.
Parisa has a PhD in Biomedical Science and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Parisa holds a Senior Lecturer position with UNSW Sydney.
Parisa joined The George Institute for Global Health in 2008. She has over fifteen years’ experience in health and university sectors in an operational and academic capacity. Her expertise is in operational leadership & optimisation, strategic planning, coaching & mentoring, managing change, financial management, program development and management, contract negotiations, stakeholder management and recruiting and developing top talent.
