Justin Rosenthal has a diverse work experience in engineering and leadership roles. Justin is currently working as a Principal Engineer at The General Partnership since February 2022. Before that, they held the same role at Sweat Equity Ventures starting in August 2021.
Justin has a significant experience at Google as a Lead Software Engineer from January 2017 to June 2021.
Prior to Google, Justin worked at Yahoo as a Senior Principal Software Engineer from October 2014 to January 2017. During their time at Yahoo, they were involved in various responsibilities including tech leadership, managing a team, and designing a real-time messaging backend.
Justin also co-founded and served as the CTO of MessageMe from April 2012 to October 2014. Justin handled team management, developed a messaging stack, and focused on iOS app development.
Earlier in their career, Justin worked at LOLapps (later acquired by 6Waves) as a Director of Engineering from January 2011 to March 2012 and as a Software Engineer from January 2009 to January 2011. At LOLapps, they managed the engineering organization, led the development of the Ravenwood Fair game, and was involved in hiring and technical due diligence.
Throughout their career, Justin has demonstrated expertise in engineering, leadership, team management, and software development.
Justin Rosenthal completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2002 to 2007. Justin then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution from 2007 to 2008.
