Ron Donston is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in controls and instrumentation across various industries. Currently serving as a Senior Controls Engineer at The GBS Group since August 2017, Ron has a proven background in programming process control equipment, PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, particularly within the chemical transfer sector. Previous roles include I&C Engineer at Thermo-Trol Systems, Lead Systems Specialist at Johnson Controls Inc., and Engineering Systems Specialist II at Canon, Inc. Earlier positions also encompass key engineering roles at Qimonda and Infineon Technologies. Ron holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University and has foundational education from Penn State University.
