Sr. Loretta Walsh has extensive experience in pastoral counseling and mental health nursing, currently serving as a Pastoral Counsellor and Mental Health Nurse at The Gathering Place since October 2016. Previously, Sr. Loretta held the role of Executive Director and Counsellor at the Family Life Counselling Centre from February 1996 to December 2014 and worked as a Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse and Staff Registered Nurse at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital from October 1983 to December 1995. Sr. Loretta's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a focus on Religious Studies and Psychology from Memorial University, a Registered Nursing degree from St. Clare's Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, a Diploma in Mental Health Psychiatry Nursing, and advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling. Additionally, Sr. Loretta has experience as a teacher and principal in various educational institutions from 1967 to 1975.
