Robert van Steenselen has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and architecture. Robert was recently hired as a Solution Architect at The HEINEKEN Company, where they are responsible for integrating data sources into the Azure Data Lake and creating data models for reporting and exports. Prior to this role, they worked as a Data Engineer at HEINEKEN, where they played a lead role in building the company's modern data platform in Microsoft Azure.

Before joining HEINEKEN, Robert worked as a freelance Solution Architect and Data Engineer at The Future Group. Robert also had a role as an Azure Architect and Data Engineer at ilionx, where they worked on challenging projects for various clients. Robert found the intersection of being an architect and a data engineer particularly interesting.

In addition, Robert has experience as an Azure Architect at Hollander Techniek, a Data Engineer at Bergman Clinics B.V., and a Data Engineer at Univé. Robert has also worked as an Azure Architect and Project Manager at De Hoop ggz, an Azure Architect and Data Engineer at CMIS Group, and a BI Consultant at VIVAT and GGZ Delfland.

Throughout their career, Robert has demonstrated their expertise in data engineering, Azure architecture, and BI solutions. Robert has experience in implementing and maintaining data platforms, building data models, and ensuring the smooth functioning of teams.

Robert van Steenselen has a diverse education history. Robert obtained their MSc in Psychology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) between 2005 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Propedeuse in Mediatechnology at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 2003 to 2004. Robert'ssecondary education was at Griftland College Soest, where they earned their HAVO degree in N&G from 1998 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Robert has obtained several certifications. In November 2020, they obtained the certification of Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org. Robert also holds multiple certifications from Microsoft, including Azure Data Engineer Associate (AZ-200, AZ-201) obtained in May 2020, Azure Administrator Associate obtained in November 2019, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) obtained in March 2019, and various others related to data warehouse implementation and SQL databases. Robert also completed a course on Informatica PowerCenter: Data Integration for Developers with Informatica in July 2018. Earlier certifications include Prince 2 foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice obtained in September 2014 and Oracle Database 11g-related certifications obtained in 2015.
