Max Mutter is a Conservation Project Manager at The Freshwater Trust, overseeing major water sustainability initiatives in California since May 2021. Previously, Max served as a Technical Writer and Senior Editor at OGL Services LLC from April 2016 to April 2021. Prior experience includes working as a Wilderness Consultant for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where responsibilities involved improving wilderness management protocols, and as a Wilderness Fellow focused on compliance with national monitoring frameworks. Additional roles include a Surveyor at The Davey Tree Expert Company, an intern at Lehigh Gap Nature Center conducting hawk counts, and a research intern at the University of Maine studying Sharp-tailed Sparrow nesting success. Max holds a Master of Science in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Colby College.
