Sophie Hicks has a diverse work experience background. Sophie currently works at The Freedom Fund, where they started in 2018. Sophie has held various roles within the organization, including Program Manager from October 2021 to present, Program Officer from June 2020 to November 2021, and Program Assistant from January 2018 to June 2020.

Prior to joining The Freedom Fund, Sophie was a SOAS MSc Candidate in Violence, Conflict, and Development at the SCHOOL OF ORIENTAL AND AFRICAN STUDIES from September 2016 to September 2017.

Sophie also worked at African Revival, where they were a Programme Development Officer from September 2016 to February 2017, and a Communications and Fundraising Field Officer from September 2015 to September 2016.

Sophie's work experience also includes a role as a Communications Officer at SADIL - TOGO from October 2014 to May 2015, and as an English Teacher at British Council from January 2014 to June 2014.

Sophie Hicks completed their Master of Science degree in Violence, Conflict and Development at SOAS University of London from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a BA (Hons) Arts degree in Philosophy from Durham University, which they attended from 2009 to 2012. Sophie's educational journey began at Truro School, where they studied during the years 2007 to 2009. No specific degree or field of study was mentioned for their time at Truro School.
