Sarah Mount has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Sarah started their career as a Solicitor at MinterEllison from 2007 to 2009. Sarah then worked as a Solicitor at First Nations Legal and Research Services (formerly Native Title Services Victoria) from 2009 to 2011. Sarah later joined the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative as a Program Manager from 2011 to 2014. Sarah briefly worked as a Legal Consultant at Thomson Reuters Foundation in 2014. Sarah then served as an Asia Program Manager at Anti-Slavery International from 2015 to 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Program Manager at The Freedom Fund, starting in March 2018.

Sarah Mount has a diverse education history. In 2000, they began their academic journey at Monash University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree. During their time at Monash, which lasted until 2005, they also completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA), focusing on Politics.
