The Free Press is building an investigations desk packed with ambitious newshounds eager to land scoops that shape the national conversation. You might be a junior reporter at a local paper, covering courts, council meetings, or crime, and eager to make your big break. Or you might be a seasoned journalist at a major paper, tired of the same old beat and burning to expose wrongdoing in places you’re not allowed to touch.Â
