Mallory Mbalia has extensive work experience in the field of education. Mallory most recently worked as the Director of Learning and Education at Fred Rogers Productions starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at PBS North Carolina, including Director of Education, Director of Educational Engagement, and Trainer. From 2016 to 2019, Mallory served as an Assistant Principal at the Wake County Public School System. Before that, they gained administrative experience as an Administrative Intern at the same school system. Mallory also worked as a Principal Fellow at NC State Graduate Student from 2014 to 2016. Mallory started their career as a Trainer at UNC-TV and later transitioned into teaching roles at Wake County Public School System and Durham Public Schools.
Mallory Mbalia attended Howard University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development. In 2009, they enrolled at the University of Phoenix and completed a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2011. Mallory pursued further education at North Carolina State University from 2014 to 2016 and obtained a Master's degree in School Administration.
