Daniel Leonce is an experienced Automation Scientist currently employed at The Francis Crick Institute since August 2021, specializing in automation workflows and process innovation. Prior to this role, Daniel worked as a Laboratory Automation Specialist at PRA Health Sciences, where responsibilities included identifying automation candidates and optimizing processes using Hamilton STAR and TOMTEC Quadra4 platforms. Daniel's experience also includes serving as a Technical Officer at EMBL, focusing on the integration of biotechnology platforms for precision health projects. Earlier positions include roles at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, where method development and high throughput pipeline operations were key responsibilities, and as a DNA Microarray laboratory technician at Illumina. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of East Anglia, obtained in 2012.
