Ben Clarke is a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Francis Crick Institute, specializing in astrocytes, microglia, and ALS, with expertise in iPSCs and various cellular and molecular biology techniques. As Co-Founder of PhD Pigeon Ltd, Ben connects PhD students with the consulting industry. Previous experience includes a PhD study at University College London's Greensmith Lab, focusing on heat shock proteins and inflammation in motor neuron disease, as well as an M.Sc. in Neuroscience from the University of Bristol, where Ben graduated with first-class honors. An industrial placement at Eisai involved studying Alzheimer's disease using histopathological and behavioral techniques.
