Claire Habig

Contributing Writer at The Fordham Observer

Claire Habig is currently a Fellow on the City & State Elections Team at Berger Hirschberg Strategies, LLC, and serves as a Resident First-Year Mentor at Fordham University, where responsibilities include organizing over 20 events aimed at enhancing student engagement. As a Contributing Writer for The Fordham Observer, Claire focuses on News and Opinions, collaborating with editors to produce content for both digital and print platforms. Previously, Claire interned with the New York City Council, assisting in legislative research and project work, and worked as a Student Advocacy Fellow at Fordham College, implementing composting and gardening initiatives. Past experience also includes grassroots campaigning as a canvasser for Max Rose for Congress. Claire is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government with a minor in Women and Gender Studies at Fordham University, having graduated from Lynden High School in 2022.
