Katherine Martinez has a strong background in legal work. Katherine began their career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office in 2012, where they handled a diverse range of cases, including domestic violence and career criminal trials. Katherine successfully prosecuted a first-degree murder case, demonstrating their expertise in motions and trial procedures. In 2017, Katherine joined the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office as a Deputy District Attorney, where they continued to gain experience until April 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Client Intake Director at The Flood Law Firm, starting in August 2021. Throughout their career, Katherine has shown their ability to manage a large caseload, negotiate pleas, and effectively represent their clients in court.

Katherine Martinez attended the University of Connecticut from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism and Political Science. Katherine then went on to attend Loyola University New Orleans College of Law from 2009 to 2012, earning a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
