Caroline Dettman has a diverse work experience spanning several prominent companies. Caroline currently serves as the Chief Marketing & Creative Officer at The Female Quotient, where they focus on promoting equality. Prior to this, they were a Founding Partner at Have Caroline'sBack (HHB) Consulting, a women-owned culture and communications consultancy. During their time at HHB, they worked with companies to inspire change and was recognized as one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of the Year in 2022.

Before starting HHB, Caroline was the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) at Golin, a global communications agency. Under their leadership, Golin won numerous awards, including PR Week's International Agency of the Year and a Cannes Gold Lion in the PR category. Caroline was also recognized as part of the PR Week Hall of Femme class of 2019 and featured on PR Week's Power List multiple years.

Caroline's career began at Edelman, the world's largest communications agency. Over their 17-year tenure, they rose to become the Vice President and Executive Director of Consumer, overseeing key client relationships and driving growth. Caroline later served as EVP, US Chair of Consumer Marketing, focusing on thought leadership and new business development. During their time at Edelman, they played a pivotal role in building a strategic and creative offering, leading to the creation of Edelman's Strategic and Creative Guild.

Caroline's early career includes a role as an Account Executive at Public Communications Inc., where they worked on media relations and client interactions, including projects with the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls. Caroline also served as a publicist for Discover Card's sponsorship of Trisha Yearwood's U.S. tour.

Caroline Dettman completed their Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, and History at Indiana University Bloomington from 1994 to 1998.
