Lauren Groetch has extensive experience in providing legal services to low-income clients, currently serving as the Director of Legal Services at The Family Center since September 2014, after progressing through various roles including Assistant Director of Legal Services, Senior Staff Attorney, and Staff Attorney. Groetch's expertise encompasses housing law, public benefits, matrimonial and family law, guardianship, and lifetime planning. Prior experience includes a Legal Fellowship at the New York Legal Assistance Group, where collaboration with medical professionals was key to addressing legal issues for low-income individuals, and roles at the Brennan Center for Justice and the Center for Popular Democracy focusing on election reform and legal research in areas such as immigration and civil rights. Groetch earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia.
