Karen Salazar is a dedicated research assistant at The Faison Center since August 2023, contributing to various applied behavior research projects focused on assessment, treatment, and outcome measurement. Prior experience includes serving as a special education teaching assistant at the Peninsula School, where the mission centers on supporting individuals with autism, and various roles in hospitality and customer service, including waitress positions at Willow Oaks Country Club and Les Crepes. A research fellowship at the Reiff Center for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution and a front desk assistant role at Christopher Newport University further highlight Karen Salazar's diverse experience. Educationally, Karen Salazar holds a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Christopher Newport University, obtained in May 2022.
