Julian Matt has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering, with a focus on aerospace and propulsion. Julian recently worked as a Thrust Chamber Development Engineer at The Exploration Company. Prior to that, they completed their Master's thesis at Technische Universität München. Julian also has experience in project management and systems engineering as the Project Lead and Systems Engineer at Space Team Aachen e.V. During this time, they also worked as a Propulsion Engineer. Before that, Julian worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Institut für Strukturmechanik und Leichtbau (SLA) @ RWTH Aachen University, where they also completed their Bachelor's thesis. Julian gained practical experience at Airbus Defence and Space as an intern, where they were involved in the FLUMIAS-DEA project aiming to demonstrate miniaturized technology of fluorescence microscopy. Julian Matt has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Maschinenbau from RWTH Aachen University. Julian also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Aeronautik und Astronautik, obtained from the same university. In addition to their academic qualifications, Julian has obtained certifications including "Model-Based Systems Engineering" from Coursera in February 2022, and "ESA Academy's Ladybird Guide to Spacecraft Operations Training Course 2021" from the European Space Agency (ESA) in September 2021.
