Sarah Lockyer has extensive experience in the media and publishing industry. Sarah currently holds the role of Chief Brand Officer at The Elliot Group, where they focus on retained executive search and strategic advisory services. Prior to that, they served as the Group Director & Publisher at Informa Restaurant & Food Group, leading a portfolio of brands and providing integrated media solutions for the foodservice and food retail industries. Sarah has also held senior leadership positions at Winsight, LLC, Penton, and Nation's Restaurant News, where they spearheaded content strategy development, drove user engagement, and achieved significant growth in the B2B media space. Sarah began their career as a Reporter at American Banker.

Sarah Lockyer attended the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. In 1998, they also briefly attended Georgetown University for the Institute on Political Journalism. Later, in 2002 to 2003, they pursued a Master's degree in the Medilll School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
