Maaike Visser is a skilled Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture advisor with extensive experience in the field. Currently employed at SNV since February 2021, responsibilities include enhancing farmer training programs and advising on project design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Previous roles include a Young Expert position at Young Expert Programmes for SNV Lao PDR and a Research Assistant role at Wageningen University & Research, where Maaike focused on healthy and sustainable diets in low- and middle-income countries. An internship with Hivos involved analyzing dietary data and promoting traditional fruits and vegetables. With a strong academic background, including a Master's degree in Global Nutrition and Health from Wageningen University, Maaike has a solid foundation in nutrition and agricultural development, complemented by experience in research and capacity building.
