Christine Murray is a seasoned editor and founder in the fields of architecture, design, and urban development. Currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief, Founding Director, and Owner of The Developer and Festival of Place since February 2020, Christine established an independent voice advocating for impactful journalism that prioritizes citizen perspectives in place-making. As a Founding Member of Part W, Christine actively campaigns for gender equality within the architecture and construction sectors. Previous roles include Editor-in-Chief at Ocean Media Group and emap, overseeing prominent publications such as The Architectural Review and The Architects' Journal, along with various editorial positions earlier in their career. Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree from Concordia University, both focusing on English Literature.
