Ken Konecki is the current Chief Engineer at The Demex Group. Ken has over 25 years of experience in developing software systems for trading, risk management, portfolio finance, statistical arbitrage, and merger arbitrage. Ken started their career in software development at Reuters in 1986, before moving to PSR Systems as a consultant in 1987. In 1988, they joined Tellabs as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, developing embedded systems software for digital telephony switches. In 1992, Ken left Tellabs to join Systems Development Corporation as a Senior Systems Engineer. Two years later, they moved to Citadel LLC, where they spent the next 25 years developing software systems for the full life cycle of trading from pre-trade decision support to settlements and clearing.
Ken Konecki earned a Master of Arts in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from DePaul University. Ken also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
