Camila Russo's work experience begins in 2007 as an International News Reporter for El Mercurio. In 2010, they interned at Bloomberg News. Camila then joined Bloomberg LP in 2011 as an Emerging Markets Reporter, before transitioning to the role of European Stocks Reporter in 2015. From 2016 to 2019, Camila served as a Markets Blogger for Bloomberg's Markets Live blog. In 2019, they became an independent writer, focusing on various financial topics. Additionally, in the same year, they founded The Defiant, a media company that focuses on decentralized finance.

Camila Russo attended Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. Camila later pursued a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University, specializing in Business reporting, magazine writing, and editing, from 2009 to 2010.
