Md. Tanvir Ahamed Sarkar currently serves as the Head of Information Technology at The Daily Star since October 2022, where responsibilities include developing and maintaining IT strategies, policies, and systems while ensuring compliance. Previously, Tanvir held several key positions at Dnet, including Head of IT, where strategic IT initiatives were implemented, and Head of IT Infrastructure, achieving significant improvements such as the establishment of an IT Helpdesk and the migration of applications to more cost-effective platforms. Earlier experience includes roles at Bangla Phone Limited as Manager-Network Administration, where network and server infrastructure was managed, and as Network Administrator at IT Connect Ltd., where Tanvir developed ISP networks in Dhaka. Educational background includes a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from the Asian University of Bangladesh.
