Cindy Rivas Alfaro is an experienced journalist and editor currently serving as Editor in Chief at The Cougar since August 2021, where previous roles included Managing Editor, Opinion Editor, and Opinion Writer. Alongside this position, Cindy holds a Summer Internship with Houston History Magazine and works as a Radio Host at Coog Radio since September 2023. Cindy has also gained valuable experience through internships in social media marketing at Evolve Houston, archiving at Arte Publico Press, and marketing at MediaMate, LLC. Cindy is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at The Honors College at the University of Houston, following an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from San Jacinto College, along with a High School Diploma from CTE Early College High School.
