Thaomy Phung is currently an Enable Life Sciences Intern, focusing on customized, biomarker-based cell-culture assays for immune profiling in cancer immunotherapy research. Additional roles include serving as a Pokémoto Employee, providing customer service at a Hawaiian-themed restaurant, and working as a Lab & Field Analysis Assistant at the University of Connecticut, where research centers on the interplay between ecology and evolution. As a Campus Correspondent for The Daily Campus, Thaomy covers campus events and stories that resonate with the university community. Previous experience includes serving as a Referee at Jump On In, supervising children and ensuring safety, and holding leadership roles with FIRST, including Youth Initiative Leader and Director of Community Outreach, which involved promoting STEM education among school students. Earlier roles also include working as a Crew Member at Five Guys Enterprises, maintaining food safety, and delivering customer service. Thaomy is pursuing dual degrees in Physiology and Neurobiology (BS) and English Language and Literature, Creative Writing (BA) at the University of Connecticut.
