Ernest Stevens is currently the Deputy Division Director Law Enforcement at The Council of State Governments since August 2022. Prior to this role, Ernest served as the Crisis Response and Resiliency Manager at SOUTHWEST TEXAS REGIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL and as an Instructor at Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Ernest also has extensive experience as a Criminal Justice Expert at the San Antonio Police Department and as a Police Officer at Terrell Hills Police Department. Ernest obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Wayland Baptist University.
