Matt Warren has a wealth of experience in the media and publishing industry, having worked in various roles since 1998. Matt's career began as a Business Analyst at EY, followed by a role as a Features Writer at The Scotsman in 1999. In 2001, they became an Author at Lonely Planet and in 2006, they joined the Daily Mail as a Commissioning Features Editor and Travel Editor. In 2012, they were appointed Editor at The Lady, and in 2013, they were named Editor of the Year (women's weekly or fortnightly) by the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME). In 2015, they took on the role of Managing Director at The Conversation UK, followed by Acting Editor (maternity cover) and Deputy Editor. In 2016, they also took on the role of Columnist at Cross Country and in 2020, they became a Co-Investigator at the International Public Policy Observatory (IPPO). Finally, in 2022, they became the co-author of Are You Thinking Clearly? 29 Reasons You Aren't and What To Do About It.
Matt Warren attended Sherborne School from 1987 to 1992. Matt then went on to earn a Master of Arts in English Literature from The University of Edinburgh between 1993 and 1997.
