Ari Holsten is an experienced educator currently serving as a Mathematics Teacher and Department Leader at The Columbus School since July 2022. Responsibilities include planning and implementing daily mathematics lessons, organizing weekly department meetings, analyzing student data, and collaborating on school initiatives. Prior to this role, Ari worked as a Special Education Teacher and Team Leader at Hunter's Point Community Middle School from 2017 to 2022, and as a Mathematics Teacher with the NYC Department of Education from 2016 to 2017. Additional experience includes positions with City Year New York and Citizen Schools, focusing on student mentorship and educational support. Ari holds a Master of Education in Teaching Urban Adolescents with Disabilities from Long Island University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
