Hugh Carey is an experienced photographer and visual journalist with a diverse background in media and outdoor adventures. Currently serving as a photographer for The Colorado Sun since May 2021, Hugh previously worked as a visual journalist for Summit Daily News and as a staff photographer for Wyoming Tribune Eagle. Additional experience includes photography internships at The Grand Rapids Press and Deseret News, and roles in outdoor leadership, such as leading whitewater rafting tours and guiding photo safaris in Alaska. Hugh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus on photojournalism from the University of Montana, earned between 2005 and 2010.
