Catherine Bateman has over 20 years of experience in marketing and leadership roles. Catherine is currently working as the Chief Marketing Officer at The Co-operative Bank since 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at Suncorp New Zealand, including Tribe Lead, Intermediary Experience, and Executive Manager, Brand & Customer Engagement. Catherine also has experience at Vodafone, TelstraClear, GRO, Woosh, Mediaedge:cia, and Cable & Wireless, where they held marketing and management positions. Catherine has a strong track record of executing brand strategies, leading teams, and driving business growth through customer engagement and innovative marketing campaigns.

Catherine Bateman completed their LLB, with a focus on Law, Psychology, and Education, from The University of Auckland in 1997. Catherine also received an A'Bursary during their time at Auckland University.
