Emily Cowan is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Research Associate at UC San Diego Health since June 2023. Emily also volunteers as a Virtual Crisis Counselor for The Trevor Project, where extensive training is applied to support LGBTQ+ youth in mental health crises. In addition to these roles, Emily coordinates volunteers and leads youth activities at New Vintage Church and coaches JV high school softball at The Classical Academies. A former Student Government Association President at St. Joseph's University New York, Emily oversaw various student organizations and provided academic support as a Biology Tutor. Other experiences include serving as a Resident Assistant, working for San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and completing a Youth Ministry internship at New Vintage Church. Emily holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from St. Joseph's University New York.
