Amanda Steinecke is an Education Specialist at The Classical Academies since August 2023, teaching VAPA electives to 3rd through 8th graders and conducting progress conferences with students and families. Previously, Amanda served as a Middle School Summit Math and Science Teacher from July 2021 to June 2023, where two Math 7 and two Integrated Science classes were taught using the Summit curriculum, along with developing and teaching sewing electives. Amanda's experience also includes a role as a Substitute Teacher for the San Marcos Unified School District in 2020-2021 and as a STEM Success Center Tutor at California State University San Marcos from January 2019 to December 2020, offering tutoring in various college-level math and science courses. Prior to a career in education, Amanda worked as a Veterinary Technician at Midland Animal Clinic Inc from May 2016 to August 2020, ensuring pet medical needs were met in high-stress situations. Amanda holds a Middle Level Teaching Credential and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Mathematics from California State University San Marcos.
