Scott Hawkins is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in editorial leadership. Currently serving as the Communities Editor at The Clarion-Ledger since January 2022, Scott previously held the position of Vice President for News at Prince Media Group and editor of The Madison County Journal from February 2021 to January 2022. Earlier roles include Editor of The Natchez Democrat at Boone Newspapers, Inc. from March 2018 to February 2021, and Features and Sports Editor at Sun Herald from March 2002 to January 2018. Scott's editorial career began as Editor at Benton Courier from May 1997 to March 1999 and continued at Andalusia Star News from March 1999 to March 2002. Scott holds a Master of Arts in English from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from The University of Southern Mississippi.
