Sam Rabiyah is a skilled News Apps Developer at THE CITY NY since September 2022, with extensive experience in data-driven web tools and community-focused initiatives. As a Collaborating Member of the Anti-Eviction Mapping Project since June 2016, Sam has contributed to organizing a national collective for tenant advocacy and has fulfilled numerous analysis requests. Previously, as Data Lead & Engineer at JustFix.nyc, Sam maintained multiple tools for tenant organizers in NYC and authored investigative reports. Sam has also developed interactive web tools at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, worked as a Web Tools Developer Intern at 596 Acres, and served as an Editorial Intern at Curbed. Early experience includes a software internship at Esri, focusing on mapping applications. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Social, Cultural & Critical Theory from Wesleyan University.
